OXFORD – For well over twenty years, it has been an honor and tradition for the Fort Hill American Legion Post 376, to partner with the American Red Cross, to host blood drives.

Through collaboration and dedication, Post 376’s donations have been on the rise and recently the Red Cross officially recognized the Legion’s 2023 accomplishments.

With community service as one of its pillars, The American Legion Post 376 is heavily involved in blood donation efforts. Commander Darlene Ardron makes sure that every two months the Fort Hill Legion is reserved, cleaned, and ready for the Red Cross team.

Darlene works with Mary Hardendorf, Oxford Red Cross Drive Coordinator. Mary makes sure her efficient team of volunteers and skilled Red Cross employees are ready for blood donations, from registration to recovery at the canteen; this ensures it’s a smooth process.
